Dr Igor Hrycenko is recognized as an expert in Child and Clinical Psychology on over three hundred occasions in Youth and Family Courts, and on several occasions in the Court of Queen’s Bench.

Dr Igor Hrycenko currently engages in private practice as a partner in Western Psychology Services, Calgary, including between 1993-1998, the provision of consulting psychology services to Hull Child & Family Services, under a a contract between Hull and Western Psychology Services. His private work has included educational/clinical assessments of adolescents and adults, individual counselling with adolescents and adults for problems with mood management, anger management; stress management, habit control and addictions, sexual abuse victimization and perpetration, work and educational functioning, and cultural adjustment issues (primarily involving aboriginal, East European, and African clients). Contracted services with Child Welfare since 1993 have included parenting assessments; psychological assessments of children and adolescents; family therapy; individual therapy with children and adolescents; appearances as an expert witness in Family Court; and consultation with community agencies providing care for children.
